Our entire portfolio is dedicated to our mission of “Design Empowering People” to transform communities. DC Mayor Bowser officially opened the 801 E. Men’s Shelter today with a ribbon cutting event. This flagship facility sets the standard for new shelters by incorporating three towers with separate housing areas for low-barrier, workforce, seniors and those with medical needs. The 88,000SF, 396 bed shelter is includes a daytime services center with a mail room, computer lab, barbershop, and laundry facility, plus a dining center that will offer culinary training opportunities. Men will be moving into this incredible facility this week. Imagine how these men will feel leaving the old shelter and walking over to the new one. What a dramatic improvement. We could not be more proud of this project. #DesignEmpoweringPeople.
