    Michael Wiencek has a passion for making change in people’s lives. He founded Wiencek + Associates on that very principle, along with a mission to create an environment where other architects could be nurtured and challenged.

    Brad Marson
    Executive Vice President & COO

    Brad has over 20 years of executive experience in real estate development, property management and business development. He specializes in improving operations, delivering excellence and continually growing a stellar team.

  • Scott S. Matties
    Executive Vice President & Studio Director
    AIA, USGBC LEED AP, NCARB

    Scott brings more than 25 yrs of experience in design and master planning of award-winning residential, commercial and institutional projects. His focus is affordable housing and senior communities in the DC metro area.

Our Staff

  • Ryan Anderson
    Project Architect
    RA, ASID

    Ryan received a Master’s of Architecture from Tulane University in 2011. He joined Wiencek + Associates in 2016 after spending the start of his career in construction doing estimation, specification review, and technical drawing.

  • Andrew Benavides
    Architect

    Andrew earned a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Florida before returning to his hometown of DC where he hopes to utilize his passion for bridging the gap between design and the people of the world.

  • Temitayo Fasusi
    Project Manager
    RA

    Temi is a registered Architect who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Temple University in 2011.  She has 10 years of experience in multifamily, and design management experience in hospitality and restaurants.

  • Jeremiah Fordham
    Sr. Project Manager
    RA, Certified Passive House Designer

    Jeremiah has over 8 years of architectural experience after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Pratt Institute.  He is passionate about sustainability, which led to him becoming certified as a Passive House Designer.  He has worked on a multitude of projects from multifamily to multi-story logistic centers.

    Vice President
    AIA, NOMA,

    Lynden earned his Master’s of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and has over 20 years of experience on a wide range of projects in government, hospitality, multifamily residential, medical, mixed-used development, and office/commercial sectors.

  • Brittani Garza
    Contract Administrator

    Brittani earned a BS degree in Business Management from Rivier University in Nashua, NH where she also captained the women’s Field Hockey team.  She is a strong problem solver who enjoys multitasking, analyzing operations to identify solutions that improve work flows and maximize business processes.

    Leticia Ramirez Granados
    Intern

    Leticia earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Maryland. She has a passion for art, math and the built environment where she can pursue a deeper involvement in affordable housing and serving underrepresented communities.

  • Caleb Lightfoot
    Architectural Associate

    Caleb earned his Master’s of Architecture from Texas Tech University. With a strong interest in affordable housing, he became a Housing Specialist for Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and an Outreach Specialist before returning to practice architecture.

    Gia Pontes
    Designer

    Gia came to Washington, D.C. in 1997 from Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she studied Journalism. She then completed a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture at The Catholic University of America.

  • Njillan Sarre
    Intern

    Njillan earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Maryland and is pursuing her Master’s degree from Cornell University. She is passionate about all things design, especially ones that communicate pedagogies of culture and humanism.

  • Kyle Schulte
    Project Architect
    AIA

    Kyle earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Bowling Green State University with a focus on Architectural/ Environmental Design. He is a graduate of the prestigious Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program and has a passion for BIM Management.

  • Krutika Shah
    Project Manager
    AIA, NCARB, LEED ap BD+C, SEED
    Krutika joined Wiencek- Associates with 6+ yrs of experience in public and private sector in mainly Metropolitan Washington area. A graduate of Urban Design from Carnegie Mellon University, she has worked on master planning, civic architecture, and sustainable design projects.
  • Carl Skooglund
    Carl Skooglund
    Project Manager
    AIA, CDT

    Since joining the field of architecture in 1986 Carl has held positions in small & large architecture firms and a non-profit housing developer. He has experience in both new construction and renovation projects.

  • Kumi Wickramanayaka
    Project Architect
    AIA, LEED AP – BD+C

    Kumi joined Wiencek-Associates after earning her Master of Architecture at the University of Cincinnati where she participated in their prestigious CO-OP program giving her valuable experience in producing construction documents for new construction senior multifamily housing.
