the Appleton is a mixed-income community in NW Washington, DC that includes the renovation and conversion of a historic building into 88 units for independent senior earning less than 60% of AMI. The renovation included replacing all windows, repointing the exterior brick, gutting the interior to create new units, office and amenity spaces plus adding a rooftop amenity space. The project was designed to meet LEED Gold standards.
