This is our second project on the Walter Reed campus. First, we designed the HELPUSA veterans housing project, now we designed this groundbreaking affordable assisted living community that will serve residents earning up to 30% of the area median income. So important for the city of DC.

W+A extends its congratulations to Kumi who recently passed her ARE exams and is now officially a registered architect and member of the AIA.

The 801 E. Men’s Shelter nested in the historic St. E’s Hospital Campus in Washington, DC is design to be a “Beacon of Hope” for many in the city. But before it becomes a reality, lots of foundation work is required as it sits directly above the Metro. Piles and foundation girders are being installed to support the three winged building.

Loudoun View Senior is a new construction project in Sterling, VA that includes an 88,871 SF building with 98 affordable apartments for seniors, common areas, and leasing office. Construction began in January 2021 and is expected to be completed in Spring 2022.

Woodlands at Reid Temple will be a high-quality, mixed-income, affordable, active senior living campus to serve local residents in their golden years.  Our unique design, “A Walk in the Woodlands”, has 252 units meandering through the wooded surroundings.  A Welcome Center with an attached glass-enclosed colonnade leads to a Community Center, with amenities such as fitness center, dining services and spiritual wellness facilities.  Our plan includes a thoughtful effort to maintain existing trees to enhance this 10+ acres site.  The densely wooded parcel will create natural buffer zones between existing neighborhood, as seen from this fly over video Fly Over of Woodlands at Reid Temple Under Construction

We are thrilled to welcome Daivik Jayanth, first born son of Krutika Shah and Jayanth Venkatraj.  Daivik was born on May 19th at 3.38 am. He weighs 8.2 lbs and is 21 inches tall.  His parents and Daivik are all doing well and looking forward to the new beginning.
