A History In Historic Preservation
Our firm’s founder, Michael Wiencek, has worked with the Historic District Commission for the City of Gaithersburg, MD, as well as the MD State Association of Historic Traditions. He owned a registered historic home for over 20 years in Gaithersburg. Our Gaithersburg, MD office at The Thomas Cannery, is a nationally registered historic building. It’s this intimate daily experience with architectural history that became the catalyst for the historic renovations and adaptive reuse projects we do.
We understand the landscape well enough to know what you really need to do in order to achieve your historic status. More importantly, we also know what you do not need to do. That translates to a more affordable historic project for you.
Best of all, we have great relationships with the historic authorities and can get the answers you need. We help guide the process, and we make it a much more affordable and achievable project that still meets all the needs of the community, the historic regulations, and earns you the tax credits you’re after.
